I'm a systematic trader and always stick to the signals my volatility metrics tell me. However I realize not everybody is like me, and some traders do like to experiment with some contrarian dip buying from time to time. This will be a recurring series where I discuss some possible signals that may increase the odds of success and avoid the dread "knife catching"
